The story
On 23 May 2023, the Nico Kvaratskhelia Fund announced that it and the Business and Technology University (BTU) had signed a memorandum of cooperation under Junior Tech, a project initiated by BTU with the support of UNICEF Georgia.
Under the memorandum, the Fund was to pay for a one-year course of study for three beneficiaries. According to the details published on 24 May, the modules covered cyber hygiene and internet safety, the principles of digital technology, and basic digital literacy.
Junior Tech is a joint initiative of BTU and UNICEF Georgia to develop the skills of children and adolescents. Through it, children and adolescents who are socially vulnerable, have disabilities or are in state care, as well as those taking part in diversion and mediation programmes, were to receive fully funded training.
